Mary Lou Hudman, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, is the owner/broker of A Benefit Source and John Paul Hudman has joined the agency as a partner in 2018, he has his life and health license and has trained extensively. A Benefit Source acts as Independent Agent/Consultant for employers throughout Texas, serving numerous Medicare-eligible clients, individuals, and small employer groups under 100 employees. Mary Lou is a Certified Senior Advisor(CSA)®, which is a prestigious certification in the senior market. Mary Lou and John Paul represent all of the top-rated insurance carriers in Texas, both, of course, certified to sell Medicare products and also offering group employee benefits (health, dental, life, disability, 401(k), and supplemental cancer, accident, hospital, and chronic illness plans), individual health, dental, life, and disability plans, long term care plans, and freshbenies (telehealth, health advocate, bill saver, pet insurance and discounts for dental, vision, and Rx). Mary Lou Hudman, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, has twenty-eight (29) years of insurance sales and consulting experience. Mary Lou and John Paul are both members of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Texas Association of Health Underwriters, and Dallas Association of Health Underwriters. Mary Lou has been on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters for several of her twenty (20) years of membership, was President of the then 400-member Dallas Chapter in 2004-05, and is now a Board Trustee. John Paul now serves as the public service chair. Mary Lou served for four years as the Membership or Retention Chair for the Texas Association of Health Underwriters; has served four (4) years on the National Association of Health Underwriters' Region VI Board in the capacity of Membership and Retention Chair for the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Arkansas and won the highest national award by winning the Membership Cup (national championship) in 2008; National Membership Vice-Chair in 2005-2006; and served on the NAHU Board of Trustees as National Membership Chair in 2006-2007. In 2004, she was named Volunteer of the Year for the Texas Association of Health Underwriters and also received the Henry Dawson Award (Underwriter of the Year) for the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters in 2005. She most recently won the 2018 Leadership Award for the local DAHU Chapter. Through the 30 hours plus of Continuing Education each year and numerous industry seminars and webinars, Mary Lou and John Paul stay on top of what is happening in the insurance industry and they are always looking for ways to help their clients with the most up-to-date strategies, and best benefits and coverage for the dollar, plus the agency is excited to now have John Paul's energy and young ideas to add to the value of the agency and ways to best serve the client.
